Extra TV and Radio

This is an ambitious new section where I hope to link up educational television and your studies. The British sites are from the BBC. I was brought up watching BBC programmes once a week and loved them. Today's world offers children much more choice than 40 years ago. Spend a few minutes clicking through until you find a programme to your liking. You might find you can study a topic you are really having trouble with at the moment:

BBC Learning Zone (linked to chemistry videos)

BBC Science and Nature (home page)

BBC Schools (linked to Bitesize Chemistry)

Korean educational sites are new to me too. I wish to recruit a few students and ask them to help me find out which are the best. Maybe you could even view a programme at Academy and thus bring your newly acquired knowledge into your science classes. Try these popular EBS chemistry programmes as a starter. Click on the link and then type in 화학 to access the chemistry videos: Korean Chemistry

I will add more websites once I am convinced of their worth.

Interestingly, I was at home watching TV when I came across the Chinese mainland educational channel (number 268). It has programmes from Year 7-12 in all of the sciences. I suggest that if you are Chinese and wish to find out which topics are to be broadcast, you look at their listings at: Chinese TV

There is a website which my student discovered for me that contains a lot of radio programmes. See what you think of it: Radio Time

There are BBC radio science programmes too. They seem to open in China (unlike some of their videos). Have a browse of their ever-changing content BBC Radio. The content of Japanese, Hong Kong and Taiwanese, television and radio stations has to be checked too.
